BIODEGRADABLE
CYCHET's Biodegradable solution causes the plastic to biodegrade only after coming into contact with microbes found in landfills and the ocean. The microbes are attracted to the packaging by an additive that is incorporated into the films during the manufacturing process. The microbes consume the plastic which results in a biomass byproduct (not microplastics).
Certified biodegradable using the ASTM D5511 test method, our biodegradable treated films are just as strong as non-treated plastics.

COMPOSTABLE
The CYCHET® certified compostable packaging solutions come in Clear (frosted), Kraft, and Metalized. Aside from reducing the amount of plastic which ends up in the landfill or our oceans, compostables also:
• Use less energy and water to manufacture
• Cause less pollution than petroleum-based items
• Come from renewable plant-based resources
Certified compostable using the ASTM D6400 test method, our compostable solutions break down in a home compost or industrial composting facility within a matter of months.
